Job Description: Journalist (New Delhi) - Salary dependent on experience. Barcroft India is a news agency that specialises in reporting from South Asia. With offices in London and Delhi, we produce words, pictures and video for newspapers, magazines, websites and television across the globe. Due to expansion we are looking for an experienced journalist to join our editorial team based in Delhi, India. The Role: Reporting directly to our Bureau Chief in Delhi you will: Source and write stories for our clients; Monitor the local media for leads; Contribute ideas for stories and features; Travel often, producing written copy and video reports for newspaper, magazine, internet and television clients; Help manage a team of writers, photographers and videographers. Person Specification - Essential: A trained journalist with experience on a newspaper or at a news agency; Keen to live and work in Delhi or Mumbai; Experienced in crisp copy to a tight deadline; Very keen to work on big stories; Calm under pressure; Good at working in challenging environments; Happy to take the lead in a small team.
