Three Ashes
An Austrian man who married a Scottish woman who died this year from ovarian cancer is walking from Austria to her home in Glasgow and scattering her ashes as he goes.
Simon Kynaston, 58, said: "Lizzie McIlwham was my wife for almost 30 years and the mother of our children.
"She was a proud Scot, an unforgettable inspirational mother to 3 sons and a true, green eyed, flame-haired Celtic princess if ever there was one."
He said that before she died she had hoped to visit the three places where she had lived, Glasgow, London and Paris, and that he now planned to walk from Austria to all three to carry out her wishes by leaving part of her there.
