City dogs that want an Alpine break are being offered training courses in country life that includes how to use a chairlift and how to avoid trouble with cows.
The training sessions were organised by an Austrian hotel in Carinthia in Austria that specialises in doggy holidays after they found pooches from the city just didn't know how to cope with the countryside. Some were bashed by cows - others got stuck in rabbit holes and most had no idea how to sit still on the chairlift.
But now they get tips on avoiding problems on the courses - and after a hard day with farmyard animals or Alpine hiking there is a menu of freshly cooked gourmet food, doggy sun loungers and swimming pools - and even special fitness rooms for four-legged friends.
