Dozy driver Christin Waechter, 74, caused chaos when she crashed into a church in Bergdietikon, Switzerland, where families were planning an upcoming wedding.

Police say she lost control when she mixed up the brake and the accelerator and sent the car hurtling through a meeting room window into a conference room, missing the table by inches.

The driver is just a vehicle which was parked in the church car park and was looking over her shoulder to reverse when the car suddenly shot forward.

Paramedics treated the driver and two passengers for shock.

Police say the building is now unsafe to be used and will need at least 10,000 GBP worth of repairs. The car was also a write off.
