Gavin Blyth +R.I.P
It is with deep regret and sadness that we write to inform members of the death of former NAPA agency journalist Gavin Blyth, at the age of 41.
Gavin was the son of one of NAPA's founder-members, Roger Blyth and started his careerin his father's firm Mercury Press Agency, Liverpool, around 1995.
He worked first as a sports writer and then made his name as a talented photographer. He displayed many skills in abundance and went on to expand Caters News Agency in Birmingham, as its editor, before making a career change in the mid 90s that led-on to major success in the world of television.
In TV drama he carved-out a great reputation, working first on Emmerdale and then progressing to join the executive team at Coronation Street. In January 2009 he returned to Emmerdale as Series Producer and achieved impressive results throughout his time in that very demanding job.
He was a very popular man who was his own most demanding task-master. A much-respected and admired colleague, his death has come as an huge blow to all those who knew him.
